2021 will see a lot of South Indian movies with action, thriller, mystery, crime and romance genres releasing finally in cinemas.

After almost 10 months due to COVID-19  lockdown, the government finally allows cinemas to open with 100% occupancy. The Indian cinema is slowly but steadily getting back to normal with filmmakers locking the release dates of their upcoming films. Tamil Nadu government recently permitted 100 per cent occupancy in theatres, while the other three southern states namely Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala are expected to permit full occupancy soon. Though cinemas have opened fully, govt has issued new guidelines to follow while watching the films.

From thermal checking to wearing face masks and ensuring frequent sanitization is mandatory. “Cinema halls can operate with full capacity. Sanitization and covid protocols will have to be adhered to, but people can buy food from the stalls inside the theatres,” Union information and broadcasting Prakash Javadekar said. While Thalapathy Vijay’s Master, Ravi Teja’s Krack and other few films already released in theatres, the makers of the upcoming films have already released the dates of their upcoming mega projects.
